What is osteopathy?

Your body is in constant communication.

Bones and joints provide structure. Muscles and fascia move it. Nerves carry information, blood vessels deliver oxygen and nutrients. Each influences the environment the others have to function in.

Osteopathy is a gentle, hands-on approach that assesses these relationships. By reducing areas of restriction, we work to improve the body's mechanics — giving its structures and systems greater freedom to do their jobs.

My Approach

The best care is collaborative.

We work together.

You bring the experience of living in your body — what you're feeling, what matters to you and what you need to do. I bring my knowledge, training and hands-on skill. We work from there.

Gentle and responsive.

I listen to your feedback and adapt treatment to how you and your body respond, rather than forcing an approach that isn't working.

Beyond the table.

Care can continue beyond the table through practical considerations around posture, positioning and movement. And when another healthcare professional can better support something you need, good care means recognizing that too.

Who I Work With

Different bodies. Different lives. Different demands.

I work with people across the lifespan — from childhood through adulthood and into later life.

We grow, work, play and care for others. Our bodies and what we ask of them change along the way.

What each person brings to the treatment table is different — and so is what they need from care.

Meet Bryhnn

I'm Bryhnn Freitas, an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, movement educator and mother of two young children.

I started out studying International Development and Globalization, interested in people, communities and alleviating suffering. More than a decade teaching yoga and movement brought that interest closer to the individual — but I wanted a deeper understanding of the body and more practical ways to help the person in front of me. That search led me to osteopathy.

Today, my goal is simple: to help people live more comfortably in the bodies carrying them through their lives — one person, one body, one life at a time.
